What causes asthma?
Asthma is a disease the airways of lungs but the exact cause of asthma isn't known. Airways of asthmatic patients are very sensitive, reacting number of provocative factors called triggers. These triggers result in asthma attacks.
Several asthma trigger are well-known. The reactions can different between individuals and in time. The most important thing in asthma treating is avoiding triggers.
Most common asthma triggers are:
• Infections: flu, cold, virus, sinus inflammation
• Physical activity: very common in childhood
• Weather: cool, temperature
• Smoking
• Allergens: pollens, dust, mold spore, animal hairs, foods
• Chemicals
• Medicines: aspirin, ibuprofen, beta-blocker
Attention! Doing exercise is the only trigger which is not recommended to avoid. In correctly handled treatment, exercise will not cause any problems.
